Inter Continental Hotels Group (IHG) achieved 6.4% growth in its group-wide revenue per available room (revPAR) in the third quarter of 2011. According to results released today, the group achieved a 2.8% rise in global average daily rate (ADR) coupled with a 2.4% increase in occupancy levels.
The company’s Asia Pacific region hotels expanded at a faster rate however, with revPAR increasing 5.3% in Q3 2011. The region’s ADR climbed 4.7% but occupancy growth was sluggish at just 0.4%. The company’s total revenues climbed 10.9% year-on-year to US$467 million.
IHG’s chief executive, Richard Solomons called the Q3 figures “a strong set of results”.
