One of the significant changes within the travel industry over the past 20 or so years has been the rise in cruising and the utter transformation of what a cruise holiday offers today. From a river journey up the Rhine, to exploring off the beaten track Asian islands, and from the ultra-luxurious surroundings of your suite, to the traditional formal gala-dinner…. the choice for today’s cruise passenger is almost endless.
And that transformation is perhaps best demonstrated by the rise of family cruising. From multi-generational family groups to the smallest of family units, all are discovering an experience second to none, one which is recognised by its value and quality that makes it an unbeatable family holiday.
I have just returned from a few days onboard the newly launched Disney Fantasy, a great example of how family cruising is evolving and becoming an ever more important part of the sector. Together with a wide range of children’s clubs, the ship also offers amazing interactive technology.
There are many great destinations for families to visit and an amazing choice of ships offering some of the most innovative and exciting ship-board facilities. There are lots of reasons why family cruising as a whole continues to excite and engage a new generation of cruisers.
