Lufthansa to fly first B747-8 to US, India
Lufthansa has revealed that its brand new Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental will fly to destinations in the US and India.
From 1 June, Lufthansa will operate six weekly B747-8 flights on the Frankfurt-Washington DC route. Over the next few months, as four more new B747-8s join the German carrier’s fleet, Lufthansa will add services to New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Lufthansa is the launch customer of the new B747-8 and has ordered 20 of the aircraft.
The Washington DC flights are already bookable.
