Holiday Inn Dubai has set up a permanent exhibition gallery in its premises for Manzil, a Sharjah-based centre for people with special needs, to display art and jewellery creations of Manzil’s special needs students.
“Manzil has been holding art exhibitions with the purpose of generating awareness about the creativity of children and young adults of Manzil’ observes Roxanna Jaffer, the hotel’s resident director.
“We are the first hotel to offer the centre a permanent location to hold its exhibitions. This initiative focuses on our ‘Holiday Inn – Al Barsha Loves You Campaign’ – supporting causes that contribute to building a caring society,” she adds, pointing out that the campaign is integral to the hotel’s endeavour to be a socially responsible corporate that cares for the community.
Manzil provides quality education and vocational training for children and young adults with special needs, including those with Autism, Downs Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, most of them from lower income families.
