Serviced residence operator Frasers Hospitality has unveiled its new brand which, it says, is designed to appeal to the “iPad generation”.
Capri by Fraser will offer a range of high-tech services, including full Wi-Fi connectivity throughout every property, iPad check-ins, e-concierges, meeting rooms with interactive walls, and a data boxes to charge digital devices.
Aside the high-tech options, Capri by Fraser properties will also offer a range of activities for guests, including Harley motorbike riding, sports car driving, salsa dancing and personal pilates sessions. These will be available from an online menu.
Like all Frasers’ properties, the Capri brand will offer a range of serviced apartments with facilities including walk-in wardrobes, kitchenettes and separate living areas. Continuing the high-tech theme, they will also come fitted with home entertainment systems that include LED TVs, DVD players and iPod docking stations.
The properties’ public areas will be designed as “expanded social living spaces”, including F&B outlets, while on-site launderettes will offer games consoles such as the Wii and XBox Kinect.
“Capri by Fraser bridges the gap between hotels and serviced residences to meet the short-term accommodation needs of the 24×7 digital generation who work and play to a different beat from that of the business travellers of the past,” said Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Hospitality.
“Market feedback has indicated that while regional travel stays are becoming shorter – usually between one to two weeks – they are also becoming more frequent, with professionals working longer, irregular hours across different time zones. So whether it is the home comforts of a personalised space where they can have the convenience of preparing their own meals even at 4am, or the independence of doing their own laundry whenever they want, Capri by Fraser is focused on enhancing the work-life balance of our guests with the flexibility and freedom to rest, relax and recharge according to their individual lifestyle needs,” he added.
Frasers plans to roll out the brand across Asia, starting with the launch of its flagship property, Capri by Fraser @ Changi City, Singapore, in the third quarter of this year. This will be followed by the opening of properties in Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City.
