Odisha’s tourism department plans to develop tourist spots in Jajpur district and provide necessary infrastructure for the development of tourism in the region. “Jajpur has a number of heritage and tourist sites which can be developed with better infrastructure facilities. This will increase the inflow of domestic tourists in the district,” the state’s tourism department officer told the Times of India.
The state plans to develop Buddhists sites in Deuli, Neulapur, Tarapur, Kayama, Radhanagar, Vajragiri and Pauti as well as develop other sites like Jagannath temple in Sukindagarh and Katarakhi temple in Darpani. Orissa Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) will also ply buses from Bhubaneswar to Jajpur district.
