Events are being termed as the way to building the momentum of growth for Abu Dhabi.
In keeping with this trend, the city will play host to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) second World Passenger Symposium (WPS). The event is scheduled to be held from 16th – 18th October, 2012, at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
WPS aims at welcoming more than 600 airline, aviation partners and government delegates globally. “The event provides an opportunity for all aviation stakeholders to explore ways to strengthen industry in terms of its profitability and its value to passengers. As uncertainty dominates much of the global economy, aviation’s proven ability to generate jobs and growth is critical,” said Tony Tyler, IATA’s Director General and CEO.
The event looks forward to strong line-up of speakers which include keynote speeches from His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, James Hogan and Tony Tyler. The CEO panel will include James E Bennett, CEO, Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Olivier Bijaoui, Executive Chairman President and CEO, Worldwide Flight Services, John S Pistole, Administrator, United States Transportation Security Administration and Willie Walsh, CEO, International Airlines Group among others.
