Finnair has introduced a new fare structure with five ticket types.
The new tickets all include a piece of carry-on luggage, one piece of checked baggage and a meal or beverage, with others including various included extras including added luggage, flexible rebooking or priority airport services. BUSINESS and BUSINESS SAVER are available in business class with its economy tickets named PRO, VALUE and BASIC.
“We want to offer clear and understandable options to customers who come from all walks of life and who each have different needs and priorities when they fly,” said Anssi Komulainen, SVP customer service at Finnair.
The carrier also announced automatic check-in will be available for all customers from 28 November.
Finnair will check in customers automatically and send boarding passes to customer mobile phones (when provided) which include a seat number and link to the boarding pass. Seats can be changed or checked in with other passengers through a link on the pass or its website.
