Mumbai-based pilots of Kingfisher Airlines served the carrier an ultimatum to clear their dues by January 31 or face another winding-up petition.
The pilots gave the ultimatum at a meeting with top management representatives including chief executive Sanjay Agarwal.
Management reportedly appealed to the pilots to not make the ultimatum, but gave no answers on outstanding pay.
The development comes as the airline’s management has been trying to resume operations as early as next month, with the Indian government supporting the airline’s revival if all outstanding wages are paid. Kingfisher has been grounded since 1 October.
