Air Astana links Central Asian capitals
Air Astana has announced the launch of a new service connecting the capitals of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The new route between Astana and Bishkek took off for the first time this week and will now be operated three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) using the Kazakh national carrier’s 97-seat Embraer E-190 aircraft.
“The launch of the new services between Astana and Bishkek is the latest step in Air Astana’s strategy of regional expansion,” said Richard Ledger, Air Astana’s director of worldwide sales. “The new three weekly services from Astana not only complement the existing five weekly services from Almaty, but also significantly provides connections between the two capital cities.”
The new flight also continues the recent expansion of Air Astana’s network in the CIS region, following the recent launch of flights to Orenburg in Russia and the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
