The US-based Asia American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) has agreed to help Goa state authorities promote inbound tourism to the popular holiday destination.
A delegation of 30 AAHOA members arrived in Goa last weekend to explore tourism potential between Goa and the US, and delegates were keen to meet local entrepreneurs to exchange ideas.
The foreign hoteliers expressed interest in the growing Indian hotel market and the potential for outbound travel to the US.
To facilitate travel to the US, the Association highlighted its efforts to pressure the American government to relax visa restrictions for Indian nationals, reported UNI.
The State Tourism Minister Nilkant Halarnkar assured the AAHOA that it would help investors where possible and offered clarification to delegates on the investment opportunities in the state at an interaction programme last weekend.
