Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the company has invited its Facebook friends and fans to enjoy a complimentary meal at any of the hotels’ operated restaurants in any city throughout the year.
On 23 April 1971, the group’s first hotel – Shangri-La Hotel Singapore – opened its doors. Today, Shangri-La operates 70 Shangri-La and Traders hotels and has a pipeline of more than 40 projects under development.
To take advantage of the free meal offer, visitors can register on Shangri-La’s Facebook fans-only page to enjoy the special offer. There are more than 300 restaurants to choose from.
“In just six months, Shangri-La’s Facebook family has grown to over 95,000 fans. This is our way to say thank you to our loyal guests and patrons at our hotels worldwide,” said Kent Zhu, Group Director of Sales & Marketing of Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. “Since we launched the offer on Facebook in December 2010, over 2,500 of our friends have already registered for their birthday treat.”
The offer is valid on the birthday of the Shangri-La Facebook fan only until 31 December 2011. Pre-registration is required.
Shangri-La currently operates one Indian hotel, in Delhi, but plans to open three more – two in Bengaluru and one in Mumbai.
