Qatar Airways boosts Kochi capacity

Qatar Airways has announced an increase in the capacity of its flights from Doha to Kochi. The route is currently being served with a narrow-body Airbus 321, this will be upgraded to a wide-body Airbus 330. The new aircraft will be operational on all 11 frequencies to and from Kochi.
“The decision to increase capacity is to meet growing passenger demand and reflects our aggressive expansion strategy,” said Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker. “India is a very important part of our expansion strategy and this is evident by the operation of 95 flights per week.”
The new A330 will offer a two-class configuration of 248 seats in Economy and 36 seats in Business Class.
