Singapore Airlines’ new Indian venture is in talks with the Bank of China’s aircraft financing arm about leasing
of new aircraft.
The new Delhi-based carrier is due to launch services by the end of this year, and BOC Aviation has told Bloomberg it is in final talks with the carrier about the lease of 20 Airbus A320s.
“We are on schedule in terms of timing,” BOC Aviation’s CEO Robert Martin told Bloomberg in an interview. “I can say that planes that we have are ready to go in the fourth quarter.”
SIA is collaborating with Tata Sons on the new Indian full-service carrier.
