Meliá Hotels International has announced it will open a new ME hotel in Milan next year.
The new hotel will open in a building designed by Aldo Rossi close to the Piazza della Repubblica with 132 rooms including 34 suites.
The building will be renovated to the style of the late architect and will also include the brand’s hallmark rooftop bar.
“The economic and industrial capital of Italy has been awaiting a hotel such as this. The announcement of a new ME in Milan, prior to the imminent openings of ME Ibiza and ME Mallorca, constitutes the next step in the international positioning of the ME by Meliá brand as providing revered hotels for modern and discerning travellers, combining business and pleasure with authentic lifestyle experiences,” said Gabriel Escarrer, CEO and vice chairman of Meliá Hotels International.
ME Ibiza and ME Mallorca will open this year, with Zaha Hadid contributing to the ME Dubai due to open in 2016.
