Royal Jordanian is preparing to receive its first 787 aircraft in August. The airline will be receiving four more B787s by the end of 2014; the other ordered aircraft will follow in the next few years.
RJ head of training and standards/B787 program manager, Captain Ghassan Obeidat said that the airline is currently preparing to meet necessary conditions and technical requirements for the introduction of these new aircraft.
The new Dreamliner will have a total seating capacity of 270 seats: 24 in business class and 246 seats in economy class. These 787 airplanes are expected to gradually replace current Airbus 340s and 330s, a step in line with RJ’s strategy of modernizing fleet, expanding routes and keeping up with the latest technology, added Captain Obeidat.
