Vietnam arrivals leap 15%

The country’s NTO added that tourism brought in an estimated US$1.75 bn during the first half. Vietnam’s annual target remains 4 million overseas visitors bringing in US$3.5 bn.
The largest contributing market was China, followed by Korea, the US, Japan and Taiwan, VNAT said. HCM City welcomed 1.28 million visitors while Hanoi greeted 650,000 for the period.
VNAT also plans to initiate reforms for international travel licensing and hotel ratings. (VNS)
