Carnival UK has announced David Dingle as chairman as David Noyes has been promoted to chief executive officer.
Dingle became CEO of Carnival UK in 2007 after holding several roles including managing director of P&O Cruises in 2000 and then managing director of Carnival UK when P&O Princess Cruises plc merged with Carnival Corporation in 2003. He had been with P&O since 1978.
Noyes joined Carnival UK in 2011 as executive vice president operations after heading up customer services for British Airways and being CEO at Gray Dawes Travel.
Both will assume their new roles on 1 October and report to Carnival Corporation’s president and CEO Arnold Donald.
Elaine Holt will also join on 1 October replacing Noyes. She is non-executive director of the Highways Agency and has also been executive chairman of East Coast Mainline and managing director of First Capital Connect.
Dingle said: “David Noyes is exceptionally placed to lead P&O Cruises and Cunard into the future and grow the business for the next generation. Elaine brings with her a strong blend of operational and customer services skills and will be a very valuable addition to our executive team.”
