Led by Shao Qiwei, chairman of the national tourism administration of China, the 32- member delegation was invited by the Tourism Minister Ambika Soni, according to Times of India.
The visit is in line with the action plan of ‘India-China Year of Friendship Through Tourism 2007’. Over 200 travel industry representatives will meet their Chinese counterparts and discuss business opportunities. Shao and Soni will inaugurate the China National Tourist Office (CNTO) in Delhi during the visit. It will be opened for business by ambassador Sun Yuxi.
