Italy’s Veneto region looks to boost bilateral trade

In an effort to capitalize on surging trade and tourism between the UAE and Italy, a high-powered delegation from the Italian Ministry of Tourism and Trade (Veneto Region) recently inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dubai FDI.
“By working together and building synergies between our two regions, we can effectively tap into what is a market of enormous promise,” said HE Marino Finozzi, minister of trade and tourism from the Veneto region of Italy.
HE Finozzi also observed that promotion of bilateral trade and tourism underscores the importance of Veneto region. “The region is a popular tourism destination with Venice as its main draw, and we are keen to tap the Arabian travellers and increase our share of tourist arrivals from the region,” he added.
As part a strategy to promote the destination, Veneto Tourism in collaboration with ITP Venice organized a session with regional tour operators. The bilateral MoU was signed by Massimiliano Riolfo, president and CEO of ITP (Industrial & Technological Pole) Venice and Ibrahim Hussain Ahli, director support & promotion division, Dubai FDI, DED in the presence of HE Finozzi.
