Asia Initiative Corporation (AIC), a Cambodian hotel management company, is aiming to expand its portfolio and enter new markets.
The Siem Reap-based company currently operates a series of boutique hotels in Cambodia, including the 30-room Angkor Heritage Boutique Hotel in Siem Reap, the four-room Bong Thom Home Stay, 21-room Hollywood Angkor Hotel and 22-room Model Angkor Resort & Residence.
This month the company launches its first new AIC Plus hotel, the 18-room and -villa Alison Angkor Boutique Villa & Resort, and in July it will launch the 26-room Seasons d’Angkor Hotel.
And AIC said it is now planning to work with more new hotel owners in Cambodia’s fast-growing hotel sector.
“Many owners want to self-manage or appoint and oversee a manager for a new property, but don’t necessarily have the expertise to put the necessary components in place for a positive, profitable start-up,” said Kelly Chan Dara, vice president and co-founder of AIC.
“The new service includes a business plan, operational procedures, staff recruitment, provision of uniforms, sales, marketing and public relations programmes,” he added.
Dara added that his is planning to open “more hotels in Cambodia and other parts of Southeast Asia”, including its first AIC Plus branded hotel.
