Commenting on the findings, Marek Janetzke, MD of flightright, said: “Families tend to head abroad over the summer for some much needed rest and relaxation. Many choose to fly to warmer countries such as Spain and Portugal, and it is unfortunate that delays and cancellations are such a common occurrence. Our data shows via which routes people suffered most and it may advise people to choose a different location before booking their trip to ensure minimum disruption to their journey.”
