Japan’s Hotel Okura is slated to operate a hotel scheduled to open in Macau in September 2009.
Hong Kong-based Galaxy Entertainment Group is developing the project to build a major resort complex on the Cotai Strip. Hotel Okura will operate one of the project’s three hotels, Kyodo news reported.
“With the opening of Hotel Okura Macau, we seek to further improve name recognition for the Hotel Okura brand throughout Asia and to expand our customer base,” the Tokyo-based hotel chain was quoted saying.
The 400-room hotel would also have a casino next to it.
Hotel Okura operates 17 hotels in Japan and seven overseas
