India’s Jet Airways and American Airlines have launched a codeshare partnership. This is Jet Airways’ third codeshare partnership, after its partnerships with Brussels Airlines and Qantas.
Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways said, “With this partnership, Jet Airways and American Airlines will offer their passengers enhanced connectivity and seamless travel from key Indian cities to Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Dallas (Fort Worth), Raleigh-Durham and Washington (Reagan) in the United States, and vice versa.”
To complement its daily flights to New York (Newark and JFK) from Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, Jet Airways will market and apply its code (9W) on American Airlines/American Eagle operated flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Dallas (Fort Worth), Raleigh-Durham and Washington (Reagan).
Similarly, American Airlines will now market and apply its code (AA) on Jet Airways operated flights between New Delhi and Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
