Xiamen Airlines has continued to expand its fleet with an order for 10 more Boeing 737-800s.
The carrier, which is based in southeast China’s Fujian province, operates an all-Boeing fleet of 138 aircraft, comprising B737s, B757s and B787-8 Dreamliners.
In addition to the latest deal, Xiamen Airlines also has outstanding orders for 30 B737 MAX aircraft and four B787-9 Dreamliners.
“The 737-800 is the best-selling version of the highly successful… 737 family,” said Ihssane Mounir, Boeing’s senior vice president of sales for Northeast Asia. “We are pleased to see the 737-800 continues to play an important role in Xiamen Airlines’ fleet expansion.”
The latest order is valued at US$960 million at list prices.
