Wet weather could not dampen Germania’s birthday celebrations, with the Berlin-based carrier’s 30th Anniversary Boeing 737 touching down at Gatwick for the first time last week.
Germania’s UK team and representatives from Gatwick Airport gathered to welcome the aircraft, which arrived in its unique Anniversary livery.
The aircraft (D-AGER), features a green fuselage with a smart #flygermania hashtag picked out in white, together with the airline’s anniversary roundel on its tail fin. It will now operate out of the UK over the next few weeks, supporting both scheduled and charter services.
The airline, which is headquartered in Berlin and whose UK office is located near Gatwick Airport, operates 22 aircraft throughout Europe and the Middle East.
