Passengers on Japan Airlines’ flights to Bangkok and Singapore will soon be able to experience the carrier’s newest cabin products, following the deployment of an upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft on the routes.
The revamped B777-200ER, which comes equipped with JAL’s new ‘Sky Suite’ interiors, will start flying from Tokyo Haneda Airport to Bangkok on 18 June 2016, and will serve the Haneda-Singapore route from August.
The twin-aisle jet features the new ‘JAL Sky Suite III’ flat-bed seat in business class, plus the airline’s new premium economy product, ‘JAL Sky Premium’. And the economy class section, configured in a 3-4-2 layout, will also be revamped with type of seat that offers up to 10cm more legroom.
In total, the new B777 offers 236 seats – 42 in business class, 40 in premium economy and 154 in economy. This is 76 seats less than JAL’s standard two-class international configuration for the B777-200ER.
