Frasers Hospitality has signed its first serviced residence in Tokyo.
An existing commercial building in the Akasaka district of the Japanese capital will be renovated to create the new Fraser Suites Tokyo – 23-storey property comprising 223 serviced apartments. It is scheduled to open in 2020.
“Globally we aim to have a presence in major key gateway cities, and our entrance into Tokyo brings us one step closer to this goal,” said Choe Peng Sum, CEO of Frasers Hospitality.
“As the capital of Japan and one of the world’s most bustling metropolis, Tokyo presents an exciting milestone for us. Fraser Suites Tokyo is a significant addition to our established presence in Japan, and we hope to continually increase our portfolio in central Japan.”
Fraser Suites Tokyo will offer a range of apartments, ranging from 35m² studios to 60m² one-bedroom units, all equipped with living, dining and bedroom areas. Property facilities will include a 24-hour gym, a golf simulator, a restaurant with an al fresco dining area and a beer garden, and a 140m² meeting facility.
The new Tokyo property will become Frasers’ second serviced residence in Japan, following the Fraser Residence Nankai Osaka which opened in 2010.
