The Heart of Sharjah (HOS), the UAE’s premier tourist destination, has honoured its female staff on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day.
The management of HOS paid tribute to its women employees on Sunday in recognition of their efforts in preserving the UAE’s rich culture and history for the next generation.
The honouring ceremony saw Heart of Sharjah’s female employees given appreciation certificates by Yousif Al Mutawa, manager of Heart of Sharjah, who praised Emirati women’s contributions across all spheres.
During the proceedings he praised UAE women’s instrumental role in community development and in driving the economy to new heights.
“Emirati women have achieved numerous successes over the years for which they should be rightfully proud. They have been supported in their impressive endeavours by our wise leadership, who have ensured the creation of an environment where they are able to grow and reach their full potential. We are only too aware of the incredible efforts made by our female staff to conserve the UAE’s rich heritage. Emirati women have proved their efficiency, faithfulness, dedication and ability to innovate in all sectors alongside their male colleagues,” said Al Mutawa.
Al Mutawa reiterated that Heart of Sharjah’s honour comes in recognition of the commitment and dedication shown by Emirati women to advance the UAE’s status in all arenas. As well as serving as an appreciation for the successes already attained, he said it would act as an incentive to encourage them to continue pushing to elevate the country’s status on the international stage.
Al Mutawa underlined the importance of celebrating Emirati Women’s Day, a generous initiative from Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, ‘Mother of the Nation,’ Chairperson of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
Scheduled for completion in 2025, Heart of Sharjah is located in Sharjah’s old area and is situated just five minutes from the city’s Corniche and 10 minutes from the Sharjah International Airport.
Once complete, Heart of Sharjah will feature diverse commercial, cultural and residential projects, including a boutique hotel, restaurants, retail outlets, art galleries, traditional and contemporary markets, archaeological sites, museums, play areas and commercial offices.
