Hungarian airline Wizz Air has launched flights to Porto from its home hub of Budapest.
The twice-weekly service to Portugal’s second largest city complements its Lisbon service launched last March.
Experiencing a 43% increase in indirect passengers to and from Porto last year, the coastal city shows a potential market of 16,000 passengers for Budapest. Using its A320 fleet, Wizz Air connects the Hungarian gateway to Porto for the first time, facing no direct competition on either of its Portuguese services.
