A special rank for eco-friendly taxis has opened outside Osaka railway station. The Japan Times reported that the facility at JR Osaka Station is reserved for electric and hybrid cabs. It will be open from 7am until 1.20am, and is able to hold 40 vehicles at a time. A battery charger for electric cabs will be installed at the rank next month.
