Murray-Darling drought recovery may take years

Australia’s Murray-Darling Basin river system will take years of above-average rain to recover from the recent drought, Bloomberg has reported. The rivers’ inflow during August was less than a fifth of average levels, the Murray-Darling Basin Commission said in a statement, adding that the basin is in “serious drought.”
