Thailand air traffic keeps falling

Passenger traffic and flight movements through Thailand’s six main airports shrank more than 11% in October, the Bangkok Post has reported. Statistics released by Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) showed that passenger flow through the airports, which include Bangkok’s main hub, Suvarnabhumi, totalled 4.23 million in October, 11.3% lower than in the same period last year. Flight movements fell 11.6% year-on-year to 29,365.
Cumulative figures for January-October however, remained positive. The period saw a 1.3% growth in passenger traffic over the same period in 2007, to 47.2 million, although though total flight movements fell 2.7% to 319,638.
