Korean Air appoints first ever female captains

For the first time in the country’s history, Korean passenger planes will be captained by female pilots, Korean Air has announced. Captains Soo-jin Shin and Soo-in Hong were officially appointed by the carrier after passing the Captain Qualification Check. Both pilots had already achieved five years experience as First Officer, clocking up more than 4,000 flight hours.
