Sichuan Airlines has launched its first ever services to Vietnam. The Chinese carrier became the first airline to offer direct flights connecting Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport with Chongqing’s Jiangbei International Airport, when services commenced this week. The flights will be operated twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday, using an Airbus A320 aircraft. Sichuan Airlines is also planning to launch services to Ho Chi Minh City later this month. The Vietnamese commercial hub will be connected to Chengdu’s Shuangliu International Airport via Nanning from 17 March.
