The IATA Agents Association of India (IAAI), in its wisdom, has decided to bombard the Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong, with 100,000 emails on 1 April – to protest against Singapore Airlines’ decision to cut commission payments to Indian agents. Anil Mathur reports that action by member agents will be followed-up by 5,000 daily emails to the heads of Indian airlines which have boycotted commission payments.
The move, which appears not to be an April Fool, is reportedly planned to disrupt the computer systems of those targeted. It is unclear whether PM Lee is aware of the planned bombardment.
