THAI will not ask for bailout

Thai Airways’ recovery plan is expected to be handed over to the government in the next two weeks, but will not request financial assistance, The Nation reported.
Areepong Phoocha-oom, Director-General of Thailand’s State Enterprise Policy Office, was reported saying that THAI will not ask for financial assistance or any guarantee from the ministry. The national carrier is however, negotiating with banks to roll over its debt obligations, he said.
The carrier is planning to hold a roadshow for its creditors in order to get more finance and improve its liquidity, the report added.
