A survey by the Japan Tourism Agency has shown that 92% of parents with children aged two or younger want to take trips with their infants. According to a Japan Today report, while 80% of respondents said that they had fewer opportunities to travel after the birth of a child, their travel patterns change as a result. 62% of respondents said they stay in hotels on weekdays to avoid crowded conditions, while the majority of parents said they seek hotels on the basis of specific services, such as cot provision and hot water for powdered milk. The survey received responses from around 480 couples.
