British Airways has said full-year revenue may fall by GBP1 billion (US$1.65 billion) if the decline in sales continues at the same pace as in the fiscal first quarter. According to a Bloomberg report, the UK flag carrier’s sales fell 12% in the three months to 30 June. And despite some positive signs, it is not hopeful of a fast recovery.
“There is no quick fix in sight for us,” BA’s Chief Financial Officer, Keith Williams, was reported saying in the carrier’s weekly staff newsletter. “It is likely that recovery in the UK and the US will take some time.”
