Earthquake jolts northeastern China

An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale hit northeastern China’s Jilin province on Sunday, local media has reported the China Earthquake Networks Center as saying. The quake struck close to Hunchun, near the Chinese border with North Korea. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage in the area.
