Air India has decided to stick to its full service business model, leaving its low-cost subsidiary, Air India Express, to focus on the budget sector. According to a Hindustan Times report, the airline’s Chairman & Managing Director, Arvind Jadhav, said that he would attempt to strengthen the carrier’s brand and service standards.
“We have made a conscious decision to remain full service,” Jadhav was quoted saying. “Passengers have certain aspirations from a brand and when they don’t get the desired service, it affects the brand in the long run.”
