Indonesia’s Tourism Minister, Jero Wacik, has said that the country aims to generate US$7 billion in tourism revenue this year. The figure would represent a US$500,000 increase from the US$6.5 billion earned in 2009.
“We have set tourist arrivals at seven million people, with each of them spending an average US$1,000,” Antara quoted the minister as saying, adding that the return of Garuda Indonesia to Europe would boost the country.
