New campaign to boost Canberra autumn Tourism

19 Feb 10 (TravMedia.com): Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation, Andrew Barr, today launched Culture Shock 2010, a new and exciting $750,000 tourism campaign aimed at attracting autumn visitors to Canberra.
Culture Shock is a cooperative marketing campaign forged between the ACT Government and the National Capital Attractions Association. It includes financial contributions from the Government and participating industry partners including eight national attractions, the accommodation sector and other tourism businesses.
“Canberra is simply beautiful in autumn and this campaign will highlight our world class cultural attractions and the depth of experiences available this year in Canberra,” Mr Barr said.
“This $750,000 investment by the ACT Government and the Canberra tourism industry demonstrates the value of working collaboratively to promote the fantastic tourism experiences we have in the nation’s capital.
“Culture Shock presents a great opportunity to promote the national capital and showcase some of the great exhibitions being held at our national attractions.”
