Sabre nabs WTS GDS deal

Bahrain-headquartered Sabre Travel Network Middle East has signed an exclusive global distribution systems (GDS) agreement with travel management firm World Travel Service (WTS).WTS will rollout Sabre’s GDS technology across its office network in the Middle East.STNME’s CEO Daniel Naoumovitch signed the deal with WTS Founder and Executive Chairman Jamil Wafa on the sidelines of Bahrain International Travel Expo (BITE) 2010. “WTS and Sabre have been working together for the past many years, and WTS decision to use Sabre exclusively is a testament to the level of confidence WTS has in us,” said Naoumovitch. Founded in 1975, WTS markets air, sea and land travel consultancy, tours and sightseeing, cargo operations, chauffeur and meet and assist services, and travel safety programmes.
