Over 250 buyer delegates have registered for this year’s PATA Travel Mart (PTM2010) in Macau. These buyers have been vetted by the PTM2010 Buyer Selection Committee that was established earlier this year to scrutinise and approve all applications.
Purchasing Managers of many major airlines and national carriers are already on board for PTM 2010, including British Airways, Emirates, Sri Lankan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. PATA is also working closely with the host of this year’s event, the Macau Government Tourist Office, as well as several PATA chapters in Europe, North America and Asia to recruit quality buyers from across the globe.
Michael Ross, Director - Product Development, Club ABC Tours, USA, says, “PTM presents an excellent opportunity to meet suppliers across the Asia Pacific region. In spite of economic conditions and factors beyond anyone’s control, savvy travellers continue to seek products that are creative, fun and a good value proposition. I expect to discover new products and opportunities that can be incorporated into our travel offerings”.
With over 250 buyers already registered, only a limited number of places are left for buyers to apply before 30 June. PTM2010 at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel promises a full range of qualified and enthusiastic buyers seeking networking and contracting opportunities in the Asia Pacific region( PATA has confirmed that PTM 2011 will take place in New Delhi.)
