WTM Vision speakers announced

The organisers of this year’s inaugural World Travel Market WTM Vision Conference, which will be staged in conjunction with Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2011 on 3 May, have confirmed this year’s line-up of high-calibre speakers.The event, hosted at WTM’s sister event Arabian Travel Market, includes two thought-provoking sessions, including a panel debate entitled Is Green the new cutting edge?. Industry identities from the Middle East taking part in the seminar include Shaikha Ebrahim Al Mutawa, director Business Development and Chairperson of Dubai Green Tourism Award, Government of Dubai DTCM, and Wael Al Lawati, CEO of Omran, the Government of Oman’s tourism development and investment company.Shaikha Al Mutawa has more than eight years’ experience developing a variety of tourism projects as well as leading a number of the DTCM Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Al Lawati is head of Omran, the master developer of a range of tourism-related projects, including the site for the Second Asian Beach Games Muscat 2010, the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, and hotel and resort developments throughout Oman. Harold Goodwin, professor of Responsible Tourism Management and director of the International Centre for Responsible Tourism at Leeds University, will moderate the panel session.The first session of the conference will see Euromonitor International’s Travel and Tourism Industry analyst Nadeja Popova reveal the research company’s latest report The Travel Industry Global Overview.
