Americas Diversity Ambassador – Remote, Canada
The Diversity Ambassador will be responsible for driving the development, implementation and integration of best practices, resources, and trends to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural proficiency in the organization.  Acting as a liaison between the Diversity Committee and the Americas Executive Team you will provide the vision and leadership in the development of new programs and initiatives that advance the company’s efforts toward achieving inclusive excellence.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Strategy, Communication & Leadership
Required to monitor and advise the business on current equal opportunity and affirmative action regulations, as well as common non-discrimination policy.
Provides advice and guidance for strategic direction to the Executive team and business leaders regarding diversity, equity and inclusion best practices.
Guidance and support for the organizations workplace, policies and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive
Provide assistance and support where required for diversity-based disputes and claims of discrimination against the organization or other employees.
Represents the Company to external partners, organizations, and agencies and manages external requests for the Company’s DEI strategy and initiatives in line with communication guidelines.
Collaborates with external and internal diversity groups to promote and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
Educate & Implement initiatives for sustainable progress
Preparing and building relationships among colleagues through diversity and inclusion training 
Provides strategic direction for training initiatives on diversity to support a sustainable environment of equity and inclusion.
Identifying external trends and recognize best practice which will increase diversity among the workforce 
Enhance the sense of belonging and human relations
Create and promote diversity-oriented events, minority and protected class inclusion programs and cross-cultural workshops
Increase awareness
Emphasize the value of diversity in the workplace
Identify areas of opportunity and provide direction
Improve diversity and inclusion practices
Assist in implementing and driving diversity initiatives
Promoting a culture of openness and inclusion
Drive Initiatives, creates awareness and educates
Identifying, implementing and driving initiatives
Identifying new programs or initiatives that can bolster diversity within the organization
Creation and promotion of diversity-oriented events, programs and workshops
Increasing awareness and perspective
Identify, build, and sustain community partnerships to support corporate diversity and inclusion projects, plans, programs and business strategies
Developing and supporting change
Addressing issues facing specific demographics
Track performance metrics on the progress of initiatives

Qualifications & Prior Experience
Experience working with committees, teams or groups dedicated to effecting change
A passion for diversity, inclusion and equal rights
Prior Human Resources, Diversity or other related experience – Preferred
Demonstrated experience with community, outreach or volunteer groups – Preferred
