Malaysia’s airports operator has said that there will be no aerobridges at Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s new low-cost carrier terminal (KLIA2). Bernama reported Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad’s (MAHB), Chief Executive Officer, Bashir Ahmad as saying that the move was based on AirAsia’s decision not to use aerobridges at KLIA2, in an effort to save costs and minimise turnaround times. AirAsia and its long-haul arm, AirAsia X will be the major airlines at the new terminal.
