ITC Grand Central in Mumbai is bringing the vibrant spirit of the South Indian harvest festival, Pongal, to the city with a specially curated thali at its Dakshin restaurant. From 10 to 18 January 2026, guests can indulge in a traditional Pongal Special Thali, offering a taste of Tamil Nadu's rich culinary heritage.

The thali experience begins with traditional accompaniments like appalam, chutney, and rasam, followed by festive starters such as Ennippu Paniyaram and Makka Cholai Vadai. The main course features regional favourites including Kadamba Poriyal and Ven Pongal, served with steamed rice and veechu paratha. The meal concludes with Sarkarai Pongal and a cup of South Indian filter coffee.

The vegetarian thali is priced at $45 (INR 3,750++), with a non-vegetarian option available on request. Lunch is served from 12:30pm to 3pm, and dinner from 7pm to 11:30pm. Prior reservations are recommended due to limited availability.
