March 28, 2010, Taipei, Taiwan - In response to growing market demand, and to provide more comfortable flights, China Airlines and its subsidiary, Mandarin Airlines, plan to fly larger Airbus A330-300 aircraft between Taoyuan International Airport and Xian, Shenyang, Changsha and Zhengzhou, in mainland China.
China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines will switch from B737-800 aircraft to A330-300 on flights from Taoyuan to those four cities, a move that will better serve the rising demand for cross-strait travel. Since regular cross-strait flights began in 2009, the average passenger load factor has risen gradually, a process that has recently been fueled by the global economic recovery.
